Students select a stencil to be cut from pre-designed files. Students will learn the hardware side of laser cutting by watching the machine in action.

Students will use black markers to draw scenes from their favorite book. The outline of each drawing will be cut out of construction paper and made into a silhouette collage.

Students will utilize laser cutting machine to cut out animals and assemble them. After mastering the cutting process, they will then assemble these pieces to form complete animal figures.

Students will start with a pre-designed cardboard automata assembly, and design the character to go on top. All parts will be cut out of cardboard and assembled.

Students will learn about different animal habitats and their characteristics, and use a laser cutter to design and build their own 3D animal habitats.

Students will use graphic elements and their font library to design their own name tag.

Students will learn about family keepsakes and bring in a handwritten keepsake, like a drawing, recipe, or letter. The keepsake will be scanned and raster etched on wood, to make it more durable.

Students will learn about logos and monograms, and design a logo for themselves. Students will be encouraged to design unique raster and vector shapes.

Students will work in teams to select a topic that they want to build a puzzle about, and select 4-6 objects within that topic to include in their puzzle. Students will use these objects to build a matching game to teach other students about their topic.

Students will use the design thinking process to invent a product to help someone. Students will build prototypes, using the laser cutter and other craft materials, to explain how their invention works.
Students will explore diverse projects, blending hands-on design, team collaboration, and laser cutting from crafting habitats to inventing prototypes.
Students will engage in diverse design tasks, from creatively modifying furniture and emulating Pop Art, to enhancing engineering prototypes and crafting laser-etched memorabilia.
Students will use laser cutting for diverse projects, from tessellated puzzles and packaging designs to structural prototypes and real-world problem-solving.
