I'm a teacher in technical design and I work with children from 9-13 Years. I let them create with Inkscape designs and then we cut or engrave them with Beamo. They have really fun!

For me the most important is that the children can create something at their own. So the projects has to be simple. So they can take the experience to create digitally and build it with their own hands. With beamo you can create something to work on it later to put it together or to experiment. For me thats a big fortune to a 3D printer because to design for the lasercutter is more simple and to produce is very fast so they can try it imediately and improve the design. That's great for education!
